Are Things Happening in Detroit?

kwameincDetroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was re-elected last November in a tough battle. Controversy seems to find America's first "hip-hop mayor" as much as his ardent supporter, Eminem, but he's not one to back down from a challenge...like say pulling Detroit into the 21st-century. 

Kilpatrick let me tag along with him in the Motor City during the 2005 auto show and at an dinner honoring inner-city entrepreneurs dinner in Boston, where he received a leadership award. He's quite an imposing charmer and my guess is he will be in the political spotlight for years to come.
